Controlling corrosion and deposition within any industrial boiler is critical to ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation, but is often shrouded in mystery. For most industrial boilers this task is carried out with the use of expensive and proprietary chemical treatments, but not always well executed. The basis of effective industrial boiler water chemistry control is normally well understood, but when carried out incorrectly leads to avoidable increases in operating costs, plant pressure equipment failures & forced outages and potential contamination of downstream equipment.

This webinar will introduce the fundamentals of industrial boiler water treatment; including makeup water treatment, corrosion control, deposition control, blow down control, and carryover control. The webinar will be of interest to energy managers, operational and maintenance personal, technical staff, and engineers.

This webinar took place on 3 February 2016.

This free webinar, sponsored by the EECA Business programme in conjunction with the University of Waikato Energy Research Centre. The presenter was David Addison from Thermal Chemistry Ltd.
