It’s a rather bracing day at our Sheephouse Wood mine water treatment scheme in South Yorkshire.
Research and development manager Chris Satterley, from the Coal Authority’s environment team, is helping Anton Firth, studying for a PhD in chemical engineering at Imperial College London, by providing samples from a recent reed bed maintenance cut.
