The Chief Minister is confident a new procurement process will allow an Urban Waste-water Treatment Plant to be commissioned and then constructed soon.
Earlier this year, the Government relaunched the procurement process after the collapse of one of the companies that was initially selected.
Fabian Picardo also claims his Government has invested five times as much as the previous Government to ensure a long-lasting and sustainable sewage network.
He told our reporter Jonathan Scott the aim now is to invest and design a plant that will that will serve the community for the next 20 years.
