Owing to the continued collapse of our brexit supply chain, we are short of chemicals used to treat sewage before being released into our rivers. As a result, the government are giving permission for some sewage that has not been fully treated to be released into waterways while the shortages continue. This is expected to last for the rest of this year at least.
