Few challenges are more pressing for NASA than the need for clean water. Space remains a desert for human explorers, so every drop must be recycled and reused. Every pound launched into space costs thousands of dollars. Because of that, nothing is wasted. Wastewater is purified and recycled as drinking water.

To achieve this, our researchers continually develop state-of-the-art water purification technologies, and now, many of these innovations can be used here on the ground, too.

During this webinar, three innovative technologies that were developed at NASA Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley were presented to the audience.
